Recently, Danish Microsoft partner Projectum was awarded ‘2015 Microsoft Project and Portfolio Management Partner of the Year’. Today Projectum announces that Microsoft has acquired the IP rights to two of the solution partner’s most popular apps.
Just a week after launching the new Office 2016, Microsoft announces the acquisition of Danish partner Projectum’s apps for financial and portfolio management. Both solutions form an important part of Microsoft Project Online, the cloud-based solution for project and portfolio management.
“Microsoft does not invest in Danish cloud solutions and applications very often, so it is a great honor for Projectum to receive such an acknowledgement,”
says Peter Kestenholz, CEO at Projectum.
“We specialize in developing apps for project and portfolio management, and a range of Danish customers in the private and public sector already benefit from this. Following today’s acknowledgement we expect an even stronger interest in the Project Online platform and our solutions going forward.”
Microsoft has acquired the Project Financials add-in and Project Snapshot add-in, two cloud-based apps, which give companies better control and overview of cost data, forecasts, budgets, KPIs and more. Both apps are developed for Project Online in Office 365 and supports Microsoft’s ‘mobile first, cloud-first’ strategy.
At this year’s worldwide partner conference, Projectum was awarded winner of the ‘2015 Microsoft Project and Portfolio Management Partner of the Year’.
Projectum was acknowledged for excellence in innovation and for developing cloud-solutions for its customers based on Microsoft technology.
“To a great extent, Microsoft’s success as a company depends on our ecosystem of partners, and the solutions, they bring to market, says Marianne Steensen, managing director at Microsoft Denmark. “We are excited that a Danish partner receives such an acknowledgement globally. They help set high standards for innovation and for creating valuable solutions for our customers.”
Today Microsoft Project has more than 20 million users across 10,000 companies. Projectum develops and implements solutions, which integrate with Microsoft Project Online, making it easier for companies to manage finances, budgets, resources and reporting relating to project and portfolio management.
